In the Spring of 2009 Lehner was a recipient of the Murphy Cadogan Fellowship in the Fine Arts is participating in the recipient exhibition Immediate Future: The Murphy + Cadogan Fellowship in the Arts, which runs October 9, 2009 through December 12, 2009 at San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery.

In the Summer of 2009 Lehner reviewed a generous grant from the Visual + Critical Studies Department at California College of the Arts to subsidize a research trip to the New York Photo Festival in preparation for the forthcoming MA thesis project The Price of 1000 words: looking at the Politics of picturing in contemporary photographic portraiture.

In December 2009 Lehner will be collaborating with Crow Ciancola as OINGO (Oranges in Non Governmental Organizations) to present a performance based installation project at the first ever biennial to take place in Haiti.

Lehner's work has just been published in the book ERSATZ GROUP EXHIBITION in conjunction with the exhibition by the same name at San Francisco Camerawork.
